Pottawatomi Spinners and Weavers Guild

The Pottawatomi Spinners and Weavers Guild was founded in 1975 by Elinor Bartlett. Current membership includes spinners, weavers, felters, and fibre producers from Tobermory to Hanover, and Lake Huron to Georgian Bay.

Are you:

  • interested in joining the Guild and learning to spin and/or weave?
  • looking to source new or used spinning or weaving equipment?
  • trying to arrange a community spinning and/or weaving demonstration?
  • shopping for handspun or handwoven products?

Contact us or follow us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/PottawatomiSpinnersandWeaversGuild

We have a successful show and sale each November. Members demonstrate spinning and weaving, and offer their work for sale.

Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at the New Life Centre, 199 4th Ave. W., Owen Sound, unless otherwise specified.  Guests and new members are welcome.

Learn to Spin

We have mentors willing to provide instruction for both spinning and weaving.
