8th Annual Espanola Fibre Arts Festival begins October 17th with series of workshops, exhibits, film screening & lectures. A Makers’ Market featuring all forms of fibre from bobbin lace to wood working is held on October 19th from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. This year’s festival has two focuses; traditional Ukrainian crafts and the trees of the forest. Visiting & featured artist David Melnychuk will offer a keynote on October 18th highlighting the importance of art & craft in a healthy society. The Holodomor Mobile Classroom will be open to festival visitors all day October 19th. Join us for the wonderful sounds, sights and tastes of the Ukraine all in one location. International artist Susan Lenz is offering her two day ‘HOT’ workshop and registration is limited. Early bird registration for all workshops is available now until July 31st.
