The Kingston Handweavers and Spinners Guild Sheep to Shawl competition is to be held on Saturday August 10, 2019 in conjunction with the Kingston Sheepdog Trials. It will be held at Grass Creek Park on Hwy 2 just west of Kingston Ontario. The competition runs from 9am to 2pm with a half hour lunch break, and judging to follow immediately. The rules for the competition and entry forms are available from Elaine Horemans (email@example.com). Entries to be received by Jun 30.
Gather a group of friends or fellow guild members to participate in the Kingston Sheep to Shawl. Teams consist of 5 spinners and one weaver, and have 4 1/2 hours to weave their shawl. Fleece is provided by the Canadian Cooperative Wool Growers. This is an outdoor event under a tent on grass. Entry fee is $25 per team, and admission to the sheepdog trial is included. This is a great practice event for the Royal in November!
