Nature Dyeing in Cottage Country
Dye a rainbow of colour on wool and silk using colour extracted from lichen, mushrooms and plants! We’ll show you how to get exciting colours from easily accessible materials, and take the mystery out of mordants and modifiers.
Day 1 we cover dye basics and safety. The use of dye sources that are likely in your kitchen, as well as wild Mushrooms.
Day 2 we review dye basics and safety using local wild dye plants and lichen. We’re offering a bonus session on eco-printing with local plants on paper and silk.
Sign up for Day 1, Day 2 or come for both days at a discounted price! All sessions will be held at the beautiful Camp Kawartha Environment Centre on the outskirts of Peterborough Ontario. Registered participants will be sent a list of basic dye kit equipment to bring. Space is limited, sign up early!

Cost for a single day (either Day 1 or Day 2): $75
Cost for both days (Day 1 and Day 2): $130
Material cost on site day of workshop $10 paid to instructor.
