We are pleased to announce the launch of the OHS Webinar Series “Demystifying Flax
This webinar series will take place once a month, on Saturday mornings at 10am, starting in March 2021. All webinars will be live in zoom and participants will receive the link in advance of the webinar. Tech support will be available and discounted rates apply for OHS members. Webinars will be recorded and available for registered participants, in a private link, for a limited time following the recording, for those who are unable to attend in person virtually.
The webinars cost $20 each for OHS Members and $25 for Non Members. OHS Members can purchase the series of 4 webinars for a discounted package rate of $60 and $80 for Non-Members.

The History of Flax Webinar – originally scheduled for April 10, 2021 has been postponed. A new date will be shared soon. The history of flax in Ontario is so interesting and we can’t wait to share it with you. In the meantime stay safe and happy creating!

Great news, due to overwhelming interest we have added more spaces to the Flax Plant Along. Registration is re-opening Monday, March 29 at 10am EDT. We have limited seed packs available so register early to receive one. If you miss out on the seed packages you can still participate by registering for the Plant Along and purchasing your own seeds. Registration for the Plant Along will close April 7, 2021.

- Seed harvest (rippling, winnowing) and storage
- Manual processing (breaking, scutching, hackling) and flax fibre storage
