In Fibre Paths, memories, traditions and personal narratives are brought to life through fibre art. The threads of our stories lead us through colour, shape and texture to arrive at a finished work that is woven and spun into meaning and form. We invite you to witness our journeys.

Peterborough Fibre Arts Festival & Sale

Saturday, March 14, 2020
10 am – 4 pm, at the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre, 775 Brealey Drive, Peterborough, ON. This is our 10th annual festival. Entrance fee: $5.00, (children 12 & under free, if accompanied by an adult).

Come & Explore the 2nd Annual Muskoka Yarn & Fibrefest!

This one day show will feature the best of fibrearts, from raw fleece to finished objects. We welcome yarn enthusiasts and fibre newcomers alike to this one of a kind event on the first real weekend of summer in beautiful Muskoka.

With over 45 vendors for knitters, crocheters, spinners and weavers, come and explore Muskoka for the day.

10 am to 4pm | Admission $5 | Free Parking

Geared to beginners, these 3 classes will get you started on the road to spinning bliss! All equipment is provided and you will have lots of time to practise your new skill. April 19, 26 and May 3, 2020, 1-4 pm. Registration closes April 16. Maximum 6 students.

HAPPY ENDINGS – NEW BEGINNINGS  OHS South West Regional  Conference will be held at Boyle Community Centre, 530 Charlotte Street, London, Ontario.  Join us for a day of fibre inspiration, fellowship and instruction.  Take one of the workshops:  Begin with Bling, (spinning techniques to create beaded designer yarn), Boro Stitching on Wool or Cotton, Beading with Hems and Fringes (hands on practice with woven scarf-weight samples) and Happy Endings: Framing Your Fibre Art Creations.  Bring your lunch and mug. A social gathering of spinners,knitters,fiber enthusiasts.  Door prizes, draw prizes, vendors, lunch, goodies

SpinON is an event for spinners, based in Ontario, Canada.  Spinners participate individually, and may also form teams, to spin as much yarn as they can during a 4-day marathon.  The purpose of this event is to promote the craft of hand spinning, and to encourage the use of locally raised wool and other locally sourced fibre.

We are excited to announce we will be hosting our official opening of our farm store and fibre mill on Saturday June 15th and Sunday June 16th, 2019 from 10 am – 4 pm.

“Come Experience the Difference”

The fine print: We welcome visitors to our farm, however we have a few things you need to be aware of before you attend.  No smoking or vaping on farm property.  Do not bring your family pets to the farm to ensure the safety of others and our herd.   Children must be supervised by parents or guardians at all times.  Please safely park your vehicles on the side of the road and walk up the driveway.  Respect all signs posted on the farm ~ it’s for your safety.

See demonstrations of spinning and weaving, and try your hand at these activities. Shop for one-of-a-kind hand spun and hand woven items made by our Guild members.

Crafters, stock up on supplies for your own creations. There will be fleece, roving, and curly locks from locally raised animals, in natural colours or dyed, for your spinning, felting, and other fibre arts projects. Knitters and crocheters will find unique hand spun and mill spun yarns, and hand turned yarn bowls and crochet hooks. Second hand books, equipment, and supplies for bead weaving and other types of bead work, knitting, crocheting, needle felting, kumihimo, and teddy bear making will also be for sale.
