20” Handmade 4-Shaft Loom with Hanging Beater. Built by Honey Hoozer (well-known Surrey BC weaving teacher in the 1950/60s) and family. Smooth unvarnished reddish wood, wood heddle frames with string heddles. Weaves well, adjusted for good sheds, smooth movement.
Useful as a working loom or historical reenactment from pioneer through medieval periods, its design echoing floor looms from the last thousand years. Doesn’t fold up, but light enough for one person to lift easily. Fits through standard 30” doors, and in back of van or truck.
